mud mud mud

All the kids enjoyed playing in the mud puddles at the new house while we got things cleaned and ready to move in. Christina and her children stayed there the first few days by themselves. Then on Friday, my dad called and said, 'ready to move?' So on Friday, we moved several loads of stuff and we have been staying there too. Moving is exhausting.

Planting potato

The kids had fun helping plant potatoes but they would lose interest quickly, go play and then come back to help.

Good old dirt

When we are outside, I am always amazed at how many times the kids will chose to play with sticks and dirt over their outside toys. The amazing discoveries of what is in dirt and the joy of getting dirty and not getting in trouble is much more fun then playing on a swing set or riding bikes a lot of the time. We just have to have a few basic rules like no throwing dirt or putting it in any one's hair, keep the sticks on the ground.....

Princess Liliana

Liliana thinks that any dress she puts on is a pretty princess dress. She loves dresses and is so cute in them. Aunt Jessica made her this outfit with the matching bows for her hair. She loves to have ribbons or bows put in her hair but she will not leave them there.

Day out of school

I can hardly wait for school to be out! I love not getting up for the bus and I love not rushing right after nap to meet the bus. When Zoey was out of school last week, we had a relaxed day. Then I took all the kids to Grandma's and I went and bought some used bunk beds for the boys. When we get in our new house, the boys will move up to twin beds. Then Liliana will get a toddler bed (or two) from them and will finally get up off the floor. I never meant for her to have to sleep on the floor for so long. I took the crib down because everyone was jumping on it and I was afraid that they kids would break the crib. When we set the crib back up for the baby, I will have major rules to protect the little brother. He will probably share a room with Liliana for a while.

Zoey's 6 !!!!!!

Zoey turned 6 this past week. She is so cute. Her brother came to visit her for her birthday. It was a good time.

Christina's grain mill

While Christina was here this time, she brought her mixer and some wheat. We got to see how it turned wheat into flour. It was really neat. We baked some bread with it. It was good. I am excited about the prospect that maybe she can be closer and we can do things like that more often. I think that I may start moving soon and hope to be settled before too long. There are still questions as to what will happen to the girls when I move.....
(FYI: the only pictures we took the whole time Christina was here was of Zoey's birthday.)
