favorite fruit

Liliana surprised me at snack the other day. I gave the kids apple and oranage slices. When most of the kids were almost done with their fruit I passed out homemade chocolate chip cookies. The other 5 kids immediatly stopped eating their fruit and ate their cookies and went and played. Liliana finished her fruit and then gathered up any abandoned untouched pieces from the other plates and ate them too before she ate her cookie.

marble painting & ants on a log

Miss Nancy visited us. She helped the kids make some marble painting and then for snack celery with peanut butter and raisins. It was a good visit. The kids kept knocking their marbles out of the box and Liliana still used her fingers to smear the paint around. They had a lot of fun.

Larry boy was missing...

Larry the cumumber was a toy in high demand for a while here. One day, after I had made Qorban let Caleb have a turn, we didn't see Larry for quite a while. When we went to tuck Caleb in bed we noticed that his bed was already occupied. Caleb had kindly tucked Larry in his bed with his special blanket. It was too cute to find him resting there on Caleb's pillow.

Finger paint fun

The kids loved this!

Room Swap

I wanted to change to change something about my house. I finally decided that I wanted to move the play room out of my house up to the mother in laws quarters. So one day, my mom came over and helped break down the big play house and slides and we carried it up stairs. Then we gathered up all the toys, sorted them out and switched the boys to the bigger room. We set up Liliana's kitchen and a table and chair in her new green room. It took the kids a little while to get use to the change but I like it. I am liking less toys a whole bunch....

Ice storm damage

One day we visited Grandma and we saw the damage done to the trees at their place from one of the ice storms. It was interesting to see the broken trees. The weather hasn't been nice enough for them to clean it up yet. It missed us here at our house.

Hotsprings and mineral baths

Christina and I took a little spur of the moment unplanned, (let's go this weekend) trip at the beginning of the year. It was nice. We didn't have an agenda so we didn't hurry for nothing. (meaning we missed our turn or exit several time due to lack of attention to detail.) It was nice to just be responsible for ourselves. We walked a bit around Hot Springs and we got the traditional treatment at the last operating bath house on bath house row. It was a really different experience. I enjoyed it but they seperated us, so I thought that Christina might have decided not to go though with the whole process. By the time it was time for my massage, I was like 'I have a friend here somewhere...' They assured me that there was two sides to the bathhouse and that she had probably been taken to the other side. (which was the case.)

Starting over

I have become very uneasy of late that I used our last name for the last blog. I have decided to create a new blog that did not use our last name for my own peace of mind.
