Visiting with friends

We made a whirlwind trip up to Ripley to see friends from Ripley and Colorado for a couple of hours. It was so refreshing for me that the kids got to just play as themselves.  I don't realize how stressed out I get when they play with the neighborhood kids. I never know when one of them may feel a need to beat one of my kids up to show how tough they are or exclude my kids for normal kid stuff.  I get that it is normal for kids who go to school but it is not to my kids. Then we went down to see Grandma Darkis for a hour or so and to sort through some of Uncle Willies buisness things. Then we made it back home before it was dark!
